Nice to meet you!

Hi, I am Max.
Nice to meet you!

I am a 25-year-old Dutch guy living in Stockholm (Sweden) who has a genuine appetite for learning new things.

Ever since I entered university, I wanted to solve complex problems and create things that people would enjoy. Initially, I chose to study Industrial Design. After a while, however, I discovered that my passion concerned how people experience and interact with interactive media and technology. I wanted to work on the design and development of software that makes interaction a bliss through understanding our natural language. Technologies that enable cars to drive themselves, and make the roads safer. Services that can recommend us the perfect movie to watch based on our interests. Social platforms that connect us with our friends all around the globe. Immersive VR-experiences that can take us on a great adventure. And not to forget, fun apps that can show us the funniest cat-videos on demand.

Currently, I am working towards obtaining my double Master of Sciences degree in Human-Computer Interaction and Design. I love the broad scope of the field: the topics of my curriculum range from applying User-Centered Design to design new apps, to implementing Machine Learning models and developing Conversational Agents.
Besides my studies, I spend a significant portion of my time acquiring new skills through self-study. As a result, I have obtained a diverse skill-set that I hope to keep expanding upon!

I would describe myself as a person whose skills and interest lay at the intersection of design, development, and research that loves to approach problems from a multidisciplinary angle.

In my free time, I love to read books about all sorts of topics, browsing through Wikipedia & catching up with my daily dosage of internet culture (e.g., memes & cat pictures).

Thank you for checking out my portfolio!
